Trek to Kunti Hill

A trek to Kunti Hill was organized by our college on 27th June, 2026 for the newly joined students as part of their orientation and induction activities. The programme was conducted with the objective of fostering teamwork, leadership qualities, physical fitness, and a spirit of adventure among the students. The students enthusiastically participated in the trek and enjoyed the opportunity to explore the natural surroundings. The scenic beauty of Kunti Hill provided a refreshing and memorable experience for all the participants. The trek concluded on a positive note, leaving the students with cherished memories and renewed enthusiasm for their college life.

Karighatta Clean Drive-2026

The NSS Unit of GSSS Simha Subbamahalakshmi First Grade College (SSFGC) organized a Karighatta Clean Drive on 25th July,2026. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, cleanliness, and social responsibility among students. NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning the surroundings of Karighatta, spreading the message of environmental conservation and the importance of maintaining clean public spaces. The drive instilled a sense of civic responsibility and community service among the participants.

NSS Volunteers at Ashada Shukravara

The NSS volunteers of GSSS Simha Subbamahalakshmi First Grade College rendered voluntary service during the Ashada Shukravara celebrations at Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, Mysuru. The students assisted devotees, helped manage queues, and supported the temple authorities in ensuring the smooth conduct of the festivities. Their dedicated service reflected the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You,” while promoting the values of selfless service and social responsibility.

Clean Trial

On the 25th, GSSS SSFGC held an event in Bettadapura’s Sidilu Mallikarjuna Swamy Hill with the subject “Clean Trail.” The event was part of the NSS Unit’s program, which focused on cleanliness and environmental conservation, and was overseen by the NSS Officer, Mr.Puneeth Kumar, Assistant Professor. A trekking expedition to the hill. A cleanup campaign to eliminate rubbish and waste off the trail.

Ek Ped Maa Ka Naam

On 24th January, 2025 GSSS SSFGC recently celebrated the initiative “EK PED MAA KA NAAM,” a Government of India initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and saving Mother Earth. This event was organized under the NSS Unit and IQAC of the college.

NSS Camp 2024-25

The NSS camp at Halebeedu, Karnataka, was held at Bayalu Ranga Mandira, a part of the local government school. The event featured a large gathering of students, NSS volunteers, and community members. Discussions and activities focused on community development and social awareness.

Blood Camp By Jeevadhara Blood Bank Of Lions Club

BLOOD CAMP BY JEEVADHARA BLOOD BANK OF LIONS CLUB The Lions Club made their second visit to GSSS SSFGC for a blood camp. This followed their December 2022 visit to GSSS SSFGC on the 28th of March, 2024. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Girish S E, Managing Director, Lions Jeevadhara Blood Bank. Following a speech highlighting the importance of blood donation, students and faculty donated blood generously for the cause. Over 60 people donated blood with much enthusiasm. The doctors present praised the enthusiasm of the students and faculty and thanked them for their generosity and selfless spirit.

World Environment Day

World Environment Day was celebrated by GSSS First Grade College on 5th June, 2024 as a part of NSS unit under the leadership of Mr. Puneeth Kumar, NSS Head, GSSS SSFGC. Dr. Rakesh T. S, Principal, GSSS SSFGC planted a tree on campus in an effort to encourage green space and a healthy atmosphere. The principal, HoDs and other faculty members along with students participated in the event in full spirit.
